Description
To knit the Melba Vest, you will need:
Yarn Filatura Di Crosa Zara (100% wool, 50g/1.75 oz, 125m/136.5 yds). The top photographed, which has a finished measurement of 85cm around the bust and a back length of 52 cm, used 6 balls of Zara in black. Allow an extra ball for each 10 cm by which the bust size increases after that, and one more for good luck!
Needles and notions 3.25 circular needle (80 cm, or 60 cm for smaller sizes), 3.25 dpns; 4.00 circular needle (80 cm). stitch markers, stitch holders, tapestry needle, pencil, calculator.
Tension 23 sts and 30 rows to 10 cm, in stocking stitch, using 4.00 mm needles (or size needed to achieve tension). Wash & block your swatch before measuring.
ERRATA – At the bottom of Page 34, the wording should state “Now, over the page, fill in your own schematic, and write your answers in the spaces provided”. Page 35 is omitted from the PDF – this page is a whole page photo of the vest only.
