A lovely vintage-style dress for you to create!
The Grace Dress is sized according to your bust measurement. We have chosen to increase the sizes in 5cm (2″) increments, and display the sizing in inches, as true vintage patterns always featured their measurements in inches.
This pattern will fit a 32(34, 36, 38, 40) inch or 81(86, 91.5, 96.5, 101.5) cm bust.
Notions: 30cm (12″) zip; 50cm (20″) lightweight iron-on interfacing for front facings (dress pictured has no interfacing, but does have the facing edges finished with bias binding); pins; tailors chalk; thread; crushed silk ribbon in two widths for embellishing, plus bow, if desired.
Suitable Fabrics: 3.5m (3.85yds) of 110cm (43″) wide lightweight fabric such as Cotton Poplin for the first three sizes (add an extra 50cm per size for the last two sizes), with a small pattern repeat allowance. Allow extra fabric to match stripes or plaids. If using 140cm (55″) wide fabric you will only need 3m (3.3yds) for the first three sizes (add an extra 50cm per size for the last two sizes).
